Applications open annually in early November and close in early January, with results announced in mid-January.
What impact do you believe the award could have on you?
“I feel so lucky that I was given the opportunity to take belly dancing classes all those years ago, and I am grateful that my community of dancers and aficionados have been supportive of my idea to pay (shimmy) it forward. Thanks to their generosity, I launched the “Shimmy It Forward” scholarship program in November 2024, with winners announced in January 2025!”
